Vancouver Convention Center West is a certified double leed platinum with the most spectacular natural ecosystem. Using this Convention Center as a case study, the expansion building: Terra Hall and Sage Centre, are designed with similar sustainable traits as the convention center, as well as built in consideration of the Vancouver climate. We specifically focused on fully developing the Terra Hall, with the green roof, to be sustainable.
The clean water of both Terra Hall and Sage Centre are supplied by the storage tank located in the basement of the Sage Centre. The main source of water is supplied by the black water treatment plant installed. Waste water from both buildings are collected and treated in an equalization tank with a volume of 20,000 grams. Excess rainwater from both buildings and the ground are collected and filtered in the retention pond.
